Prompt: What makes you curious about learning?
The first human being that managed to communicate her ideas effectively must have blown some minds. After all, how can a random sequence of curves, mixed with lines and parabolas, have a specific sound? How can the amalgam of these certain sounds convey ideas and thoughts? How can the idea I am communicating manifest itself in the exact form that I want it to in your mind? Was the first indication of vocal communication even a sign of the evolution of intelligence or just a disgruntled noise for food?
Always in awe of the intricacies of language and communication, I constantly learn to improve on putting my point across during debates, as any ambiguity in the framework of my sentences can lead to different interpretations, and correct my demeanor, as it could impart a contrasting shade to the point I am making.
Having been under the wing of several teachers, especially in science, I have realized that one concept can be taught and understood in multiple ways. Many scientists must have predicted the relativity of time, but only Einstein put it as “time is suspect", which made all the difference.
The idea of ideas and their effective communication makes me want to delve into the minds of various creatures and understand the psychology behind their behavior. I strive to better my understanding of the way people’s minds interpret all languages, including ASL and facial expressions.
For further proof, tune in to my family dinners to see how one sentence suddenly seems to have a multitude of interpretations.
